Hi, welcome to Floatboat
Floatboat is an AI work partner that lives on your computer. This guide takes you from installing it to using it every day, with real examples from all kinds of work.
Floatboat is an AI work partner that lives on your computer.
It's a little different from a chatbot in a browser tab. It can look at the files on your computer, open web pages to look things up, and work through a task step by step for you. When something important is about to happen, it stops and checks with you first. You can see everything it does, and you can stop it at any time.
This guide is for anyone who's new to Floatboat. You don't need to know how to code or understand how AI works. Follow the three steps below and you'll be up and running in about ten minutes.
1. Install Floatboat
Download the right installer for your computer. It only takes a few minutes.
2. Sign in
Sign in through your browser, and you'll come straight back to Floatboat.
3. Start your first conversation
Bring along something you're working on and see how Floatboat can help.
Once you're set up
Everything you'll use day to day is under "Everyday use." If you're new, Work on a task with Floatboat is the easiest place to start.
Wondering what Floatboat can do for the kind of work you do? Take a look at "Use cases." Each page walks through one real job from start to finish, so you can follow along with your own:

From meeting to follow-up in one go
Take notes during the meeting, then get the email, action items, and next meeting on the calendar.
